The Hill Country Amateur Radio Club is excited to announce our continued participation in the 2026 Fredericksburg ISD SystemsGo Rocket Launch, scheduled for April 30th through May 2nd, 2026.

We have secured the special event call sign N5G for this year’s event. This is one of our most impactful outreach opportunities of the year. Last year, we engaged approximately 800 students, along with parents and educators, while making over 500 worldwide contacts. This year, we are also excited to welcome international student participation, including a team from Abu Dhabi, UAE.

This year’s activities include:

HF & VHF operations exercising the RACES GoKit.

Multiband/Multimode Special Event Operations.

Amateur radio satellite demonstrations.

This event is a powerful way to demonstrate the art and science of radio and reinforce our role as a Special Service Club. Your participation is strongly encouraged. Whether operating, assisting, or engaging with students, your involvement makes a difference.
