It's time for Summer Field Day 2026!
Make plans now to participate in one of amateur radio’s most exciting annual events! ARRL Summer Field Day 2026 is scheduled for June 27–28 at the W3XO Shack, located within the Riverstar Arts & Events Park, 4000 Riverside Drive in Kerrville, Texas. This around-the-clock international operating event brings amateur radio operators together to make contacts across multiple bands while practicing emergency communication skills in a fun, fast-paced environment. We’ll need operators throughout the event, and everyone is welcome to participate. Technician Class operators can join the action on portions of the 10-meter band.
Before Field Day begins, we’ll conduct a special training session on Saturday, June 20th, from 10:00 am to noon at the W3XO Shack. This training will help operators become familiar with the radios, software, and objectives used during the event.
Training topics include:
- John Adams — 15-minute orientation to the ICOM IC-7300
- Dale Gaudier — 30-minute orientation to the Flex Radio 6400M
- Jim Lindley — 15-minute review of ARRL Summer Field Day Objectives
- JR Thompson — 15-minute orientation to the N3FJP Amateur Radio Contact Log
Whether you are an experienced operator or completely new to Field Day, this is a great opportunity to learn, operate, and enjoy amateur radio with fellow club members. The pace will be energetic, the operating continuous, and the experience memorable.
